Vertical Stagger allows tight parking density!
The Peak Rack incorporates a vertical staggered design that vertically offsets every other bicycle to eliminate handle bar tangles and achieve tight density parking. This design makes Peak Racks the most functional and space efficient bike parking racks available. Bikes can be easily inserted into an empty space between two bicycles without impediment.
The Locking Bar
The locking bar is precisely located so that the bicycle wheel, the frame and the locking bar meet for easy and secure locking.
- Locking with ease: No more having to bend over or lean into tight spaces. The locking bar is conveniently located and allows for quick, easy locking with a small diameter U-lock or cable lock.
- Security: The ingenious locking system allows for simultaneous locking of wheel and frame with small diameter lock.
One-Side Loading
All Peak Racks are designed for one side loading which means racks can be placed up against an existing structure for incredible space reduction and clear pedestrian access. Rack systems designed for two side access demand two times the square foot requirement and often cause tripping hazards. Our research has indicated that lineal space against existing structures is much more available and safe. Pedestrian hazards are diminished.
Wheel Support
The well designed wheel holder safely and securely supports a front or rear bicycle wheel without jeopardizing wheel structure while the bike can be locked with two free hands. The wheel holder contacts and supports the wheel in three places which encompass one half of the wheel’s circumference and keeps the frame from contacting the rack. The wheel support coupled with the locking bar and U-lock eliminates any risk of damage to bicycle wheels or frame. The wheel holder is also designed to allow rear wheels to be inserted without risk of derailleur damage. All derailleurs clear the wheel holder regardless of derailleur position.
